PEKANBARU – Executive Director of Riau Resources Watch HM Nasir Day Nurdin, Friday (9/12/2022) revealed a number of irregularities that allegedly occurred at PT Bumi Siak Pusako.
Among them, PT Bumi Siak Pusako is strongly suspected of having sold CPP Block’s crude oil directly to Singapore through traders.
In fact, with the issuance of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 42 of 2018, the Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS)’s crude oil is prioritized for sale to Pertamina and processed at domestic oil refineries.
“We have obtained valid and reliable information regarding the sale of CPP Block crude oil to Singapore. We have sent official confirmation to the Main Director of PT BSP regarding this matter, but we are very sorry that until now there has been no further information from him,” said Nasir.
Meanwhile, RRW, according to Nasir, also detected allegations of violations of laws and regulations related to BSP’s steps in selecting investment partners for the CPP Block.
“We suspect that the information circulating stating that BSP has appointed PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (Bakrie Group) without going through a tender or beauty contest process, is true,” said Nasir.
Then it was no less important and made RRW sad, said Nasir, his party deeply regretted the neglect of the construction of the BSP building on Jalan Sudirman Pekanbaru.
“From the start, we said that it was inappropriate for BSP to build an office in Pekanbaru, they should have built it in Siak,” said Nasir.
Nasir then stated that his party was still exploring these findings. “It is not impossible if there is enough evidence and if there are indications of acts of resistance, we will report it to law enforcement officials,” concluded Nasir.(*)
