PEKANBARU – Pekanbaru’s young entrepreneur, Arifin Abraham, stated that he is ready to develop the economic and cultural potential of the Chinatown area on Jalan DR Leimena Pekanbaru, Riau.
“We all know that this area is a cultural property as well as having great economic potential in Pekanbaru. We all know this. But recently this potential has not been utilized optimally,” said Arifin accompanied by Pekanbaru Community Leader Syamsul Rakan Chaniago, Wednesday (14/6/2023) in Pekanbaru.
Arifin explained, one of the big potentials is the opportunity for Pekanbaru MSMEs to develop very large.
“For MSMEs, we actually don’t need much to develop, they just need to be given the widest possible opportunity to develop their business. We are sure that they will develop rapidly if we give them the opportunity,” said Arifin again.
He further explained that he had prepared an interesting concept for business and cultural development in the region.
“We are ready, both from the concept to the capital. Therefore, we also hope for the blessing of the people of Pekanbaru as a whole, so that MSMEs in Pekanbaru can develop together for the sake of mutual prosperity,” said Arifin.
As is well known, the Chinatown area on Jl DR Leimena Pekanbaru was once proclaimed as a cultural and business center by the Mayor of Pekanbaru when Herman Abdullah was in office. But lately the idea is getting dimmer.
“We think now is the right time to revive this area in line with the spirit of the Acting Mayor of Pekanbaru who has returned the Pekanbaru City icon to a Sorcerer City,” said Arifin.
For this reason, he said, he and his team are currently also consulting with community leaders in Pekanbaru to jointly develop Pekanbaru City.
“We won’t want to walk if we don’t jointly develop this city, because there’s nothing we can make if we don’t work together,” said Arifin.(*)
